No sun? No vitamin D

Many of us sit indoors at our jobs, which results in not getting enough sunlight, especially in winter. As a result, we risk getting too little vitamin D, an essential vitamin that helps us bind calcium and contributes to a normally functioning immune system.

Vitamin K2 is added to vitamin D3 because D3 helps absorb calcium, and K2 ensures it goes to your bones instead of your arteries, supporting both bone and heart health.

Yes, taking too much vitamin D can lead to toxicity, causing high calcium levels in the blood. This may result in nausea, weakness, or kidney issues. It’s best not to exceed 4,000 IU (100µg) per day without consulting a healthcare provider.

Vitamin D is naturally produced in the skin when exposed to sunlight, but in winter, it can be difficult to get enough. It is recommended to take a supplement if you live in areas with limited sunlight.
